Live Music Session in O'Connor's
Doolin is one of the most famous towns in Ireland for listening to good traditional Irish music and you couldn't get a better selection of musicians than in Gus O'Connor's Pub, first established in 1832, there's something marvelously atmospheric about this place which lures visitors into a long and lingering visit. The bar is comfortably cosy with a great pubby feel and dark timbered walls depicting hundreds of photographs of local and famous musicians. Plenty of good comfortable walled seating and the rear of the pub holds about 70 people for its nightly music sessions. In the 20 years that O'Connor's has been hosting trad music, a number of famous artists have played here, including Davey Spillane and Sharon Shannon.

O'Connor's is also known for its marvellous fresh seafood, it always helps when the kitchen is only a couple hundred meters from the beach. This is a friendly and well-known pub with a charm and character all of its own, which is a great credit to is proprietor Patrick Sexton. So whether it's food, good music and company you're searching for, this is definitely one worth visiting. It's also a beautiful part of Ireland with some marvellous mystical scenery.

Next time you're in Doolin, if it is 'ceol agus craic' you're looking for come to Gus O'Connor's for a memorable experience.
