About O'Connor's

The craic happens here since 1832!

Patrick and Teresa welcome you to one of the most famous pubs in Ireland. The pub is located in the heart of the picturesque village of Doolin, set amongst the rolling hills of West Clare, a stones throw from the Atlantic Ocean. It opens at 1030am each morning (1230 on Sundays), Lunch starts at 12pm and food is served all day, with last orders being taken at 930pm. The menu has a backbone of traditional Irish fare using fresh produce whether it be locally reared Irish beef or fish straight from the sea. Music sessions kick off around 9pm each evening during the summer and last till late.

When musicians get together to have a good time and make some music, it's commonly known as a jam session. When the musicians are all Irish and playing traditional irish instruments and music, it's a seisiun. Seisiuns have their roots in the Ireland of old, taking place any time musicians gathered with their instruments, and anywhere they happenend to gather - most commonly in pubs and kitchens across the country. Anyone can participate, or just sit back with their porter and enjoy the music.
